About the role
You spearhead and drive safety digitalisation development through policy, education, and governance, working with various agencies to realise and sustain the goal of "Digital to the Core" in the safety domain.

 

What you will be working on

  • Develop digitalisation communication and strategy
  • Implement SAF Safety Data Architecture
  • Lead SAF efforts in Artificial Intelligence (AI) experimentation for safety
  • Incorporate digitalisation training into the Safety community
  • Enhance safety appointment holders' basic level of data literacy
  • Train internal staff to advanced levels of data literacy
  • Coordinate and lead the Community of Practice (COP) to share and learn experiences

 

Challenge(s)

  • Developing comprehensive SAF-wide plans and strategies
  • Creating data collection strategies that apply to all four Services while meeting their unique operational demands
  • Keeping abreast of the latest tools for digitalisation

 

What we are looking for

  • Education in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders and trade-offs
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Qualifications/Proficiency in digitalisation and coding is advantageous

About the role
You will be responsible for conducting systems-level and systems-related review matters.

What you will be working on

  • Identify MINDEF/SAF systems for review.
  • Develop and implement workplans for these reviews.
  • Convene review panels for specific MINDEF/SAF systems.
  • Conduct in-house reviews in specific areas of interest.
  • Develop and publish review reports.

Challenge(s)

  • Staying updated on the latest developments in workplace safety-related policies, as well as international workplace safety and health regulations and standards for benchmarking and gleaning of best practices.

What we are looking for

  • Education in Business Studies, Safety, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Safety, managing projects with multiple stakeholders and trade-offs.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Related qualifications or proficiency in digitalisation and coding is advantageous.

About the role
You are responsible for implementing effective Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management in the Guards Formation.

 

What you will be working on

  • Plan, implement ensure compliance of OHS programmes and policies
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections locally and overseas
  • Analyse safety performance and training-related data
  • Investigate accidents and incidents
  • Develop safety education materials and programmes
  • Manage Formation Safety Workplan
  • Supervise Unit Safety Officers (USOs)
  • Monitor and evaluate safety programme effectiveness
  • Provide safety coverage at trials
  • Review and promulgate Guards-related Army Safety Regulations (ASR)

 

Challenge(s)

  • Balancing between on-site inspections and visits to training including overseas training

You conduct Safety System Audits and No-notice Inspections (NNI) on Army Units while verifying compliance with safety practices and regulations.

 

What you will be working on

  • Conduct safety system audits
  • Perform no-notice inspections
  • Verify compliance during operations, training, maintenance work and daily routine work
  • Support overseas exercises
