About the role

About the role
You lead facility management (FM) teams and serve as the technical lead on Data Centre (DC) facilities, providing coaching and guidance to FM Teams on professional matters.

 

What you will be working on

  • Partner with IT Operations leadership to manage and monitor morale, discipline and work hygiene of FM teams
  • Plan operational tasks for the FM and security teams related to maintenance, capacity planning and logistical sustenance
  • Assist in projects for the data centres and sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance to operational standards
  • Communicate with various stakeholders to ensure overall mission outcomes are achieved
  • Create and maintain facility-level documentation and innovate solutions for DC operations
  • Lead FM teams in planning and executing emergency response plans for FM-related incidents

What we are looking for

  • Education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience is preferred
  • Relevant DC-related certifications such as CDCP, CDFOM
  • Being familiar with DC industry standards (e.g. TIA-942, Uptime Institute Data Centre Certification, ASHRAE requirements etc.
  • Familiarity with IT hardware specifications and computer racking requirements for DC space and power planning

About the role
You are responsible for Pearce Detachment's ground logistics. On this, you will need to manage the assets inventories and facilitate the associated processes to ensure its supportability for unit's operations.

 

What you will be working on

  • Oversee the ground logistics of the Squadron which include building maintenance, procurement, accounting, issue, receipt of stores and transportation needs
  • Establish and manage contracts through procurement for infrastructure management and liaise with contractors for the maintenance works
  • Plan and oversee the transportation and logistics requirements in support of alternate air field deployment, maintain the fleet of military vehicles' serviceability through regular inspections and servicing
  • Work with overseas counterparts to ensure supportability
