About the role
You drive strategic budget planning for Air Engineering and Logistics Department (AELD) and support the Head Air Engineering and Logistics' financial responsibilities while leading a team.

 

What you will be working on

  • Plan and secure operations budget requirements
  • Support current readiness and long term build up plans for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) maintenance and supplies operations, plans with sustainable ops cost growth
  • Oversee departmental resource budget allocation
  • Coordinate with external financial agencies for finance policies and governance matters and provides support to all financial studies, policy reviews

About the role
You lead a team to formulate, review and implement guidelines to manage MINDEF-related Organisations (MROs).

 

What you will be working on

  • Drive the development and review of the MRO funding framework so as to ensure that the MROs are resourced adequately to achieve MINDEF’s objectives
  • Oversee MRO's performance management framework
  • Handle grant-related matters
  • Perform assessments for operating grants, rental grant and development grant, and seek grant approving authorities’ approval.
  • Improve MRO audit performance
  • Formulate, implement and review finance policies related to DSTA

What we are looking for

About the role
You are responsible for assisting in the management of funds allocated to a training institute, overseeing contracts and their appointment holders, and providing advice on Finance processes and guidelines to units.

 

What you will be working on

  • Oversee and manage the operational budget
  • Ensure accurate financial records and proper closure of accounts at the end of each financial year
  • Take charge of the financial management system (NGPS) and coordinate the appointment of financial officers in relevant systems
