Learn about MINDEF's DXO hiring process
On this page
What makes an ideal DXO candidate?
While we consider candidates from a diversity of competencies and experiences, they all share common traits like a positive attitude, keenness to learn, interest in defence matters, and passion to serve the nation.
How long does the hiring process take?
Our recruitment timelines vary depending on the role, department and level we are hiring for.
Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 2 to 3 weeks of their application date. Alternatively, you may login to the MINDEF/SAF Recruitment Portal to check on your application status.
When can graduating students submit their applications?
For graduating students, we welcome application submissions 2 to 3 months before graduation.
What is the interview process like?
The interview process varies depending on the role and department.
You may go through at least two stages: an initial interview with the department (which may include meeting the hiring manager and completing assessments), followed by a unit preview if further shortlisted. During the unit preview, you will see your potential workplace, meet prospective colleagues, and possibly have a follow-up interview.
Please note that you may be contacted by multiple hiring managers if you have applied for more than one position.
