The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) are conducting Exercise Elang Indopura at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Pekanbaru, Indonesia from 13 to 26 May 2025. More than 100 personnel from both air forces are participating in the biennial exercise, involving four RSAF F-16C/D, one A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) and two TNI AU F-16 aircraft.

The Singapore Army and the United States (US) Army successfully conducted the 44th edition of Exercise Tiger Balm. Exercise Tiger Balm 2025, a Brigade-level exercise, was held from 5 to 16 May 2025. It involved 823 personnel from the 6th Singapore Division/Headquarters Sense & Strike (6 Div/HQ SS) and 76th Singapore Infantry Brigade, as well as 257 personnel from the Hawaii Army National Guard and the 29th Infantry Battalion Combat Team.

The Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) participated in Exercise Locked Shields (XLS) 2025, an annual multinational cyber defence exercise conducted by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE). This year’s exercise, held from 5 to 9 May 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia saw the participation of around 4,000 personnel from 41 nations.

The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) will be conducting bilateral Exercise Maritime Cooperation (XMC) with the People’s Liberation Army (Navy) [PLA Navy] from 9 to 16 May 2025.     

The Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with thyssenkrupp Marine Systems GmbH to acquire two additional Invincible-class submarines.  The procurement of 2 additional submarines was previously announced by the Minister for Defence at the Committee of Supply 2025.
