The RSAF's Aerial Display at the Singapore Airshow 2016
The Republic of Singapore Air Force's F-15SG fighter aircraft and AH-64D Apache attack helicopter will perform a 12-minute aerial display at the Changi Exhibition Centre as part of the Singapore Airshow 2016 flying display segment. The RSAF's aerial display comprises eleven manoeuvres, of which three are integrated and eight are solo manoeuvres. The eleven manoeuvres are illustrated chronologically as follows:
Description of Aerial Manoeuvres
#1: Vertical punch
The show begins with the AH-64D entering from the right and pulling up at the show centre. It then flips around and meets the F-15SG flying in from the right at the show centre. The F-15SG then pulls up in a sharp vertical climb.
#2: SAM Weave
The F-15SG starts its solo performance, twisting and turning as if it is evading a surface-to-air missile (SAM) attack.
#3: Triple Aileron Roll
The F-15SG rolls three times along its longitudinal axis to create a spiralling effect.
#4: High-G Turn
The F-15SG pulls up to 9Gs in a 360-degree turn.
#5: Four-point Roll
The F-15SG rolls on its port side four times, 90 degrees each time.
#6: High Speed Flash Pass
The F-15SG rolls 90 degrees on its starboard side as it flashes past the AH-64D at the show centre. This marks the handover of the fighter jet's solo performance to the attack helicopter.
#7: Yaw Turn
The AH-64D climbs at an angle of 60 degrees, turns 180 degrees on the spot before diving. This manoeuvre is then repeated.
#8: Combat Turn
The AH-64D makes a tight 360-degree turn, before hovering at the show centre.
#9: Viking
The AH-64D climbs backwards (in reverse), then dives in a semi-circular movement like a Viking ship ride.
#10: Spiral Dive
The AH-64D spiral dives clockwise at a 60-degree angle.
#11: Bow and Zoom
The show ends with the AH-64D bowing, while the F-15SG flies in from behind and rolls 360 degrees along its longitudinal axis three times as it executes a vertical climb.
