Lockheed Martin was contracted in 2015 to upgrade the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-16s. The upgraded F-16s will be equipped with new and advanced capabilities necessary to maintain the RSAFs operational readiness and retain its effectiveness to defend Singapore's skies into the 2030s.

The announcement on the US DoD webside on 17 Jan 2025 relates to the acquisition of aircraft spares to support the F-16s aircraft that are part of the abovementioned F-16 upgrade programme. These spares will be delivered in phases, until Sep 2027
