Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Colonel (COL) (U) Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma'awiah conducted his introductory visit to Singapore from 4 to 6 May. During his visit, he called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, Chief of Defence Force Major-General Perry Lim, and Chief of Air Force Brigadier-General Mervyn Tan, and inspected a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence. As part of his visit programme, COL (U) Shahril also visited the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF)'s 123 Squadron.     

COL (U) Shahril's visit underscores the close and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Brunei. The RSAF and the RBAirF interact regularly through a wide range of activities including professional exchanges and bilateral exercises such as Exercise Air Guard. These interactions have strengthened the mutual understanding and friendship between the personnel of both air forces.
