Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) First Admiral (FADM) Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence this afternoon. He also called on Chief of Defence Force Major-General Perry Lim and Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Lai Chung Han, and inspected a Guard of Honour earlier today.

FADM Dato Norazmi is in Singapore for his introductory visit from 24 to 26 November 2015. As part of his visit, FADM Dato Norazmi will visit the Singapore-Brunei bilateral exercise, Exercise Pelican, at Changi Naval Base later today.

The visit by FADM Dato Norazmi underscores the close and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Brunei. The Republic of Singapore Navy and the RBN interact frequently through a wide range of activities, including exercises and professional exchanges. Such interactions enhance the professionalism of the two navies, and also strengthen mutual understanding and personal friendships.
