The TD Challenge on 15 February 2013 will begin at the Singapore Discovery Centre and end at Republic Polytechnic, where the Total Defence Day Commemoration Event will be held. A key component of this year's Total Defence campaign, the TD Challenge aims to encourage teamwork amongst group members and bring out the campaign theme that when Singaporeans work together as one, we can overcome any challenges that may come our way.
There will be about 30 teams, each comprising 2 SAF personnel, 2 students, 1 active ager and 1 person with disabilities. They will be informed of the route, with the various checkpoints, on the day itself.
The teams will perform different tasks at six to eight key checkpoints, and will be awarded points for the completion of each task. The points will be matched by a monetary value which will then be donated to charities supported by Community Chest (ComChest).
Members of the public can show their support for the teams through the TD Challenge app on the ConnexionSG Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ConnexionSG). For more details about the TD Challenge app, please refer to the fact sheet titled "Online Engagement for TD 2013".
