Response to TODAY Forum Letter on ''NS online registration should be more user-friendly''

CMPB committed to improve user online experience

We thank Mr Wilson Choo for his feedback in the forum letter dated 14 Mar 2012 titled "NS online registration should be more user-friendly". The NS Portal is compatible with browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Compatibility tests on the NS Portal's eServices, including the deferment application module, were also carried out following Mr Choo's feedback. These tests found no technical issues with the eServices.

The Central Manpower Base (CMPB) is committed to improve NS Portal users' online experience and will continue to monitor the web portal for any technical issues. Should members of the public encounter problems using the NS Portal, they can email our NS Portal Customer Service Officers at contact@ns.sg, or call 1800-3676767 (1800-eNSNSNS). Parents are not required to accompany pre-enlistees who decide to register for or defer National Service at the CMPB. Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Sim Hong Meng Commander Central Manpower Base MINDEF's reply was published as "CMPB committed to improving NS Portal experience", TODAY, 17 Mar 12
