The Republic of Singapore Air Force has three training detachments in the US: Peace Carvin II (PC II) F-16 fighter detachment at Luke Air Force Base (Arizona), Peace Carvin V F-15SG fighter detachment at Mountain Home Air Force Base (Idaho), and Peace Vanguard AH-64 Apache helicopter detachment at Arizona National Guard Silverbell Army Heliport (Arizona).

Established in 1993, the PC II detachment is the RSAF's longest-running overseas detachment. Conducting training in overseas detachments such as PC II allows the RSAF to overcome Singapore's airspace constraints, and hone the air combat skills and operational competencies of RSAF personnel in a realistic and challenging training environment through the partnership with the United States Air Force (USAF)'s 425th Fighter Squadron.

The RSAF's aircrew and groundcrew participate regularly in various exercises and competitions, such as the Red Flag series of exercises, to hone their operational skills and competencies alongside their US counterparts. The RSAF and USAF also interact regularly through visits and professional exchanges that deepen the excellent and long-standing ties between the two air forces.

Over the next few years, the PC II detachment will be relocated to Ebbing Air National Guard Base at Fort Smith, Arkansas. The co-location of the RSAF's F-16s and future F-35Bs will maximise training opportunities for the RSAF. The RSAF also looks forward to enhanced joint training and exchanges with the USAF's and US Marine Corps' F-35s.
