Requirements

It is mandatory for all IPPT-eligible NSmen aged 35 years and above to undergo the SAF HSP. This is to ensure that you are fit and in good form to perform any strenuous activity during your Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS).  

 

Notification

The SAF HSP will be initiated by your Personnel Admin Centre and you will be notified 3 months before your birthday. You can then view and amend the date of the appointment via Manage Medical (eHealth) on the NS Portal.

 

Validity

Your SAF HSP certificate is valid from the date of issuance to 30 days after your next birthday.

When a new SAF HSP process is initiated, your existing certificate will continue to remain valid until 30 days after your next birthday or until the new SAF HSP has an outcome, whichever is earlier.

Example	Expiry of SAF HSP certificate
You turn 35 on 1 June 2015 and are called up for your SAF HSP.	Your certificate will be valid until 30 June 2016 (30 days after your next birthday)
