Medical and Dental

Medical

You may seek medical attention at SAF Medical Centres if you fall ill or injure yourself while participating in your Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS) activities. When you are injured, you need to report the incident immediately to your unit’s S1/Manpower Officer and Medical Officer (MO), so that your unit can help you file an injury report and provide you with the relevant treatment.

Your MO may refer you to a polyclinic or public hospital for further treatment if:

  • Facilities or medical resources are unavailable at the SAF medical centre
  • There is a need for a follow-up after your ORNS activity ends

Dental

If you require emergency dental treatment during the course of your ORNS activities, you can seek treatment at an SAF dental centre.

Examples of emergency dental conditions include acute toothache and gum swelling.
