Reimbursement of Medical Bills Incurred

To submit a compensation claim for your medical bills incurred from the treatment of your service injury, you need to provide the following:

  • Original tax invoice/receipt
  • Certification from the hospital/attending doctor that the bill incurred is for the treatment of your service injury
  • Statement from CPF Board for deductions from your Medisave account (if any)
  • Statement from your insurance company on the amount deducted from policy plan for the treatment of your service injury (if any)

If your doctor certifies that you require long-term medical treatment for your service injury, you may be issued with a Service Injury Card. The card will provide you with fully subsidised medical benefits at government hospitals and polyclinics.

You can only be reimbursed by MINDEF for medical fees incurred at government hospitals and polyclinics, based on referrals from doctors at polyclinics, hospitals’ A&E departments, or your unit’s Medical Officer.
