Death of Singapore Armed Forces Full-Time National Serviceman

At approximately 1322hrs today, a Full-time National serviceman (NSF) was found unconscious at the foot of a building at Basic Military Training School 3. He was immediately conveyed to Pulau Tekong Medical Centre for emergency treatment, and subsequently evacuated via helicopter to Singapore General Hospital.

He arrived at Singapore General Hospital at 1405hrs and was pronounced dead at 1427hrs. Serviceman was not involved in training at the time of the incident.

The Ministry of Defence and the Singapore Armed Forces extend their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.

Investigations are ongoing.
