We take into account national guidelines and medical advice to ensure that training continues to be conducted. In ‘Unhealthy’ or ‘Very Unhealthy’ conditions, we moderate prolonged or strenuous outdoor training by adjusting intensity and duration of activities. Should haze conditions reach hazardous levels, the SAF will cancel all non-essential outdoor activities.
The health and well-being of all our servicemen and women are of utmost importance to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). We ensure this even while we continue training and conducting operations to ensure Singapore’s defence and security.
With due regard for health and safety, the SAF continues all our operations regardless of the haze conditions as these are critical to the defence of Singapore. Servicemen are issued with protective equipment, such as N95 masks, in order to conduct their duties.
