The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) have conducted the first joint fighter air patrol from 3 to 4 November 2026 as part of the inaugural Patkor Indopura.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) have conducted the first joint fighter air patrol from 3 to 4 November 2026 as part of the inaugural Patkor Indopura. Two F-16 fighter aircraft from each air force participated in the operation.
The joint air patrol underscores both air forces' shared commitment to safeguarding their borders against transnational terrorism threats. As part of the operation, both air forces conducted combined briefings, exercised standing operating procedures, and patrolled the airspace along the border of Singapore and Indonesia together. The conduct of the joint air patrol also strengthened cooperation and deepened mutual trust and understanding between the RSAF and TNI AU.
Chief of the RSAF, Major-General (MG) Kelvin Fan, and the Chief of Staff of TNI AU, Air Chief Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono both participated in the joint patrol, flying in their respective nation’s fighter aircraft. Emphasising the significance of the inaugural operation, MG Fan said, “This inaugural Patkor Indopura is a special milestone for our air forces. To be able to conduct this joint patrol together shows shows the trust, friendship and the professionalism between the two air forces.”
Patkor Indopura underscores the close and long-standing bilateral defence ties between Singapore and Indonesia. In addition to Patkor Indopura, the two air forces regularly engage in bilateral exercises, such as Exercise Elang Indopura, Exercise Camar Indopura and Exercise Manyar Indopura, as well as high-level visits, professional exchanges and cross-attendance of courses. These interactions serve to reinforce mutual understanding, strengthen friendships, and enhance interoperability between the two air forces.
