Minister for Defence Reaffirms Strong Defence Ties with Counterparts at 17th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference and 6th Putrajaya Forum

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen met Malaysia Senior Minister of Defence Dato' Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein on the sidelines of the 17th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) and 6th Putrajaya Forum earlier today. Both Ministers noted the long-standing bilateral defence relationship and cooperation between both countries in regional multilateral platforms, such as the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM), ADMM-Plus and the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA). Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing mutual understanding and professional ties among the personnel of both defence establishments.
Dr Ng also met Brunei Minister for Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja MG(Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof and Philippine Secretary of National Defense Delfin Lorenzana. Dr Ng discussed regional security issues and reaffirmed the close and long-standing bilateral defence relations between both countries and Singapore.
