The Undersecretary of State for Defense at the Ministry of Defense of Italy Mr Matteo Perego di Cremnago called on Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Defence Mr Heng Chee How at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this morning. During their meeting, both sides reaffirmed the warm bilateral defence relations between Singapore and Italy and exchanged views on geopolitical and security developments.
Mr Perego di Cremnago is in Singapore for a working visit from 28 to 29 October 2024. The visit underscores the warm defence relations between Singapore and Italy, which continues to grow significantly across multiple domains. Both countries cooperate and interact through high-level visits and dialogues, military exchanges and training, cross-attendance of professional courses, and collaborate in areas of mutual interest, such as in defence technology.
