Minister for Defence to Visit China and Speak at 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be visiting Beijing, China from 29 October to 1 November 2023 to attend the 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum. Dr Ng will speak at the plenary session titled "Asia-Pacific Security Architecture: Present and Future". The Beijing Xiangshan Forum brings together high-level defence, military and foreign affairs leaders from around the world to discuss a range of security issues.

As part of his visit, Dr Ng will have bilateral engagements with Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission General He Weidong and other senior People's Liberation Army officials. Dr Ng's visit reflects Singapore's support for China's regional engagement efforts, and underscores the warm and friendly bilateral defence relationship between the two countries.
