Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing to Visit France and Germany to Further Defence Partnerships

Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing will make an introductory visit to France from 28 to 30 September 2026, and Germany from 30 September to 3 October 2026.

While in France, Minister Chan will meet with French Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans Catherine Vautrin, and have defence technology-related engagements. He will also visit the Republic of Singapore Air Force's Advanced Jet Training Detachment, 150 Squadron, at Cazaux Air Base, and attend a National Day Reception hosted for Singaporeans in France.

While in Germany, Minister Chan will meet with German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius. He will also officiate at the launch of the Republic of Singapore Navy’s first Offshore Patrol Vessel at the Fassmer shipyard in Berne, and engage with Singapore Army troops participating in Exercise Panzer Strike at the Oberlausitz Military Training Area.
