PM Wong Visits The SAF Basic Military Training Centre

Prime Minister (PM) and Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong participating in a run with recruits at the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC).
Prime Minister (PM) and Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong visited the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC) at Pulau Tekong this morning. PM Wong joined two companies of recruits in a run, participated in a strength conditioning exercise, and participated in a SAR 21 rifle Technical Handling Training session.
PM Wong also had engagement sessions with about 420 recruits as well as BMTC trainers and staff.
This was PM Wong’s first official visit to the SAF in his capacity as Singapore’s Prime Minister. He was accompanied by Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Chief of Army Major-General David Neo, and other senior officers from the Singapore Army.
