Reply to Media Queries on the US' Port Call in Singapore

Singapore has facilitated port calls and transits by US vessels and aircraft under the 1990 Memorandum of Understanding Regarding United States Use of Facilities in Singapore ('1990 MOU'). This includes the USS COLUMBIA, a US Los Angeles-class nuclear powered submarine, which is in Singapore for a routine port call at Changi Naval Base (CNB) this week. As part of the port call, the USS COLUMBIA hosted a visit for Ministry of Defence and Republic of Singapore Navy officials on board the submarine.
