Fact Sheet: NS55 Recognition Package

In commemoration of 55 years of National Service (NS55), the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will be giving out an NS55 Recognition Package to thank past and present national servicemen for their contributions to Singapore's defence and security.
The NS55 Recognition Package comprises $100 worth of credits to be digitally disbursed via the LifeSG mobile application. In addition, national servicemen who have served or are currently serving their Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS)1 will receive a complimentary one-year SAFRA or HomeTeamNS principal membership. This will allow national servicemen and their family members2 to enjoy recreational facilities and lifestyle services offered by SAFRA and HomeTeamNS.
Eligible national servicemen will receive a notification letter from MINDEF or MHA at their registered address from mid-June 2022 with further details on how to access the NS55 Recognition Package credits and register for the complimentary SAFRA or HomeTeamNS membership.
Eligibility
National servicemen will be eligible for the NS55 Recognition Package based on their NS status as of May 2022. Full-time National Servicemen (NSFs) who enlist by 31 Dec 2022 will also be given the NS55 Recognition Package after enlistment. The details are as follows:
NS55 Credits
Eligible national servicemen will receive the NS55 credits from July 2022. An SMS notification will be sent to each national serviceman's registered mobile number once the credits have been disbursed. The NS55 credits are valid for one year upon issuance. The credits can be spent at any online or physical merchant accepting payment by “Scan and Pay” via PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR. This includes heartland shops, hawkers, and e-commerce merchants, and making payments to government agencies and educational institutions. The LifeSG application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at https://go.life.gov.sg/FP7q.
SAFRA/HomeTeamNS Membership
Eligible national servicemen can register for the one-year complimentary SAFRA/HomeTeamNS membership from July 2022 onwards upon receiving the notification letter. Upon successful registration and verification, individuals will receive an email from SAFRA/HomeTeamNS. Membership registration will close on 31 Dec 2022. More details will be provided in the notification letter.

SAFRA Members
a. Access to six clubs conveniently located at Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines, Toa Payoh, and Yishun, with a seventh club in Choa Chu Kang by early 2023.
b. Exclusive members' rates at all SAFRA facilities, SAFRA-organised activities and interest groups.
c. Special privileges and discounts across partnering merchant outlets island-wide on a wide variety of products and services from SAFRA and DBS's network of partners. As SAFRA commemorates its 50th anniversary this year, members can also look forward to more special treats and promotions in the coming months.
HomeTeamNS Members
a. Access to five clubs conveniently located at Balestier, Bukit Batok, Chinatown, Khatib, and Tampines, with a sixth club in Bedok by end 2022.
b. Exclusive members' rates at all HomeTeamNS facilities, HomeTeamNS-organised activities and sub club groups.
c. Special privileges and discounts across partnering merchant outlets island-wide on a wide variety of products and services leveraging HomeTeamNS, PAssion and POSB's network of partners.
