The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) successfully delivered the ninth tranche of humanitarian aid from Singapore and completed the second airdrop operations to Gaza alongside other foreign air forces from 12 to 25 August 2025. The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) C-130 transport aircraft and the crew have safely returned from Jordan. The C-130 transport aircraft flew five sorties in support of this mission and was supported by the Singapore Army’s 3rd SAF Transport Battalion and defence partners.
The Changi Regional Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Coordination Centre (RHCC) consolidated relief aid such as medical supplies from the Ministry of Health, and food supplies from Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) Humanity Matters, Caritas Humanitarian Aid and Relief Initiatives Singapore (CHARIS), Mercy Relief, and the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF). In total, the RSAF airdropped 14.9 tons of humanitarian loads into Gaza.
On the successful deployment, Chief of Air Force Major-General (MG) Kelvin Fan said, “This outcome is a testament of our operational readiness and ability to conduct operations in short notice. I would like to thank our servicemen and women, defence partners and your families for your commitment, dedication and support to achieve this mission. My heartfelt appreciation also to the Changi RHCC and our NGOs for stepping forward to render help and support in times of need.”
