The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) holds its service personnel to high standards of discipline and integrity. Service personnel who commit offences will be dealt with in accordance with the law. Those convicted of serious offences may be discharged from regular service.

SSG Lim Guo Jie had been suspended from all duties following his arrest. With the conclusion of the court proceedings, the Ministry of Defence and the SAF will initiate further actions against him, which may include discharging him from service.
