988 MINDEF/SAF Personnel Recognised with the National Day Awards

The National Day Awards Investiture 2025 was held over two days at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).
The National Day Awards Investiture 2025 was held over two days at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng officiated at the Awards on 18 November, while Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing, Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad and Minister of State for Defence Mr Desmond Choo officiated on 24 November.
This year, 988 personnel from MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) have been recognised for their outstanding performance and dedication to duty and service to the nation. A total of 164 Commendation Medals, 155 Efficiency Medals, and 691 Long Service Medals were awarded to both military and non-military personnel. 22 personnel were awarded with both the Commendation/Efficiency Medal and the Long Service Medal.
At the National Day Awards Ceremony held earlier on 16 November, Chairman of the SAF Emergency Medicine Specialist Advisory Board Associate Professor Mark Leong, was awarded the Public Service Star, while Deputy Secretary (Policy) Brigadier-General Frederick Choo was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold)(Military). During the ceremony, 14 SAF officers and nine MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Silver), respectively. In addition, 33 SAF officers and 22 MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Bronze), respectively.
