Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing visited the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s signature public engagement event, Navy@Vivo 2025, this morning. During the visit, he was hosted to a ship tour on board the Endurance-class Landing Ship (Tank) (LST) RSS Resolution, before touring the shore exhibition and engaging with RSN sailors and members of the public. He was accompanied by Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Sean Wat.
This year's shore exhibition featured displays that showcased the RSN's role in promoting regional and extra-regional cooperation, technological transformation and new capabilities, as well as the importance of maritime trade and maintaining open sea lines of communication. In commemoration of the SAF’s 60th anniversary in 2025, Navy@Vivo 2025 also included the roving SAF60 commemorative exhibition showcase, which traced the SAF’s transformation journey and contributions to Singapore’s security over the past six decades.
Speaking after his visit, Mr Chan highlighted that “We will continue to seek different platforms, different ways to reach out to the public, to share with them the challenges that we are facing now, the emerging challenges that we are going to face, and how we can all play a part, both in the armed forces and beyond the armed forces.”
Earlier on 21 November 2025, Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad and Minister of State for Defence Mr Desmond Choo also visited Navy@Vivo 2025 and hosted members from the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) and the Government Parliamentary Committee for Defence and Foreign Affairs (GPC-DFA).
More than 170,000 attendees and 500 RSN and SAF personnel are expected to participate in this year’s edition of Navy@Vivo, which will run from 21 to 24 November 2025.
