The Next Generation Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) is a modern armoured fighting vehicle that will deliver enhanced network-warfighting capability for the future mechanised force. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art systems that will allow our armoured forces to be better networked. Its weapon systems include a remote-controlled 30mm cannon and 7.62mm coaxial machine gun with improved fire control for enhanced accuracy.
 
MINDEF and the SAF have always taken a rigorous and prudent approach in planning for our defence needs. The Next Generation AFV was selected after a rigorous evaluation process to be the most cost-effective solution that best meets the SAF’s requirements.
