Republic of Korea's Minister of National Defense Makes Introductory Visit to Singapore

The Republic of Korea's Minister of National Defense Suh Wook is in Singapore for an introductory visit from 22 to 23 December 2021. Mr Suh called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen after inspecting a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence this morning.
During their meeting, Dr Ng and Mr Suh reaffirmed the importance of maintaining strong defence relations between the two countries. Both sides exchanged views on the regional security developments and discussed areas in which bilateral and multilateral cooperation can be strengthened, such as Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) defence, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, cybersecurity and strategic communications.
Mr Suh also visited the Republic of Singapore Navy's Information Fusion Centre at RSS Singapura – Changi Naval Base. Earlier this afternoon, Mr Suh spoke at the RSIS Distinguished Public Lecture on "Republic of Korea's Role for Regional Peace and Prosperity".
Mr Suh's visit underscores the warm and friendly bilateral defence relations between Singapore and the Republic of Korea.
Relevant health checks and safety measures were taken by the visiting delegation.
