Updated Timeline for Redevelopment of The Float @ Marina Bay

In 2017, it was announced that The Float @ Marina Bay will be redeveloped into "NS Square", a permanent space that will, when completed, be a distinctive, attractive and flexible community and events venue. It will feature an NS-themed gallery, community sports facilities and a new public waterfront promenade. "NS Square" will showcase our National Service story and recognise the contributions of national servicemen.

The design consultancy tender for the project was awarded in 2020. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and its impact on the construction sector, works have been rescheduled to start in March 2023, and are expected to be completed by end-2026.[1] More details on the project will be shared when ready.

[1] The redevelopment works were previously scheduled to start in March 2022 and completed by end-2025.
