On 21 July 2020, a military general purpose vehicle was involved in a road traffic accident along Woodlands Avenue 12 and subsequently caught fire.

Two of the three personnel in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and have been sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) for medical attention. One of them has since been discharged from the hospital.

The Singapore Armed Forces is investigating the incident.
