Minister for Defence to Visit Brunei for an Introductory Visit

Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing will make an introductory visit to Brunei from 22 to 23 Aug 2025.  

During his visit, Mr Chan will have a royal audience with the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, and the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee. Mr Chan will also meet Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Darussalam and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof. While in Brunei, Mr Chan will also visit the SAF troops who are currently training in Temburong.

Mr Chan’s visit underscores the close and longstanding defence ties between Singapore and Brunei. Mr Chan will be accompanied by Chief of Army Major-General (MG) Cai Dexian and other MINDEF officials.
