Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad and Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Melvyn Ong officiated at the National Day Awards Investiture held at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this afternoon.

In 2022, 792 personnel from MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) were recognised for their outstanding performances and dedication to duty and service to the nation. A total of 144 Commendation Medals, 150 Efficiency Medals and 526 Long Service Medals were awarded to both military and non-military personnel. 28 personnel were awarded with both the Commendation/ Efficiency Medal and the Long Service Medal.

At the National Day Awards Ceremony held on 28 November 2022, Deputy Secretary (Policy) Brigadier-General Kelvin Fan, was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold)(Military). During the ceremony, 15 SAF officers and one MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Silver) respectively. In addition, eight SAF officers and three MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Bronze) respectively.
