Singapore Reaffirms Defence Ties on Sidelines of Singapore Airshow 2024

Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Heng Chee How (right) and Thailand Minister of Defence Sutin Klungsang (left) met earlier today at Changi Exhibition Centre (CEC), on the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow 2024 (SA2024).

Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Heng Chee How met Thailand Minister of Defence Sutin Klungsang on the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow 2024 (SA2024) today. During their meeting, both sides reaffirmed the strong bilateral defence ties between Singapore and Thailand, and agreed to further enhance defence cooperation in areas of mutual interest, through multilateral platforms such as the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM) and ADMM Plus.

Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad also met Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defence Muhammad Herindra. During their meeting, both sides reaffirmed the close and long-standing bilateral defence ties between Singapore and Indonesia.

Earlier in the day, Senior Adviser to Japan Minister of Defense Takami Yasuhiro called on Mr Heng, during which both sides reaffirmed the warm and friendly defence ties between Singapore and Japan.

Mr Heng, Mr Zaqy, and guests of the SA2024 viewed the aerial display performances by the Royal Australian Air Force's Roulettes, Indian Air Force's Sarang, Indonesian Air Force's Jupiter, the Republic of Korea Air Force's Black Eagles, and the Republic of Singapore Air Force's integrated aerial display team.
