Death of Singapore Armed Forces Regular Serviceman

A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman lost consciousness while having his own physical training in Nee Soon Camp on 20 Feb 2017, at 8.05am. Resuscitative efforts were administered immediately, and the serviceman was evacuated to Nee Soon Camp Medical Centre, and subsequently to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) via an SAF ambulance. An SAF Medical Officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route. The SAF ambulance arrived at KTPH at 8.37am. The serviceman was pronounced dead at 9.02am.
The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late serviceman. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.
