The SAFTI Military Institute (MI) celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2016. The SAFTI Golden Jubilee Book, launched during the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College (GKS CSC) Command and Staff Course (CSC) 2016 Graduation Ceremony, aims to showcase SAFTI's progress and accomplishments, for the purpose of remembering SAFTI's heritage, and celebrating SAFTI's achievements over the past 50 years.

Theme of the book

The theme of the SAFTI Golden Jubilee Book is a reflection of SAFTI's motto: \"To lead, To Excel, To Overcome\", and there are three focus areas:

  a. Our Identity.

Commemorate the spirit of SAFTI being passed from one generation to another, emphasising the common bonds that connects all SAFTIrians.

  b. Our Journey.

Sharing how SAFTI had transformed and grown through the years, and in charting a course for the future.

  c. Leadership and Learning.

To further strengthen SAFTI MI's leadership and learning transformation for life-long learning and developing leaders for the SAF to lead in the defence of Singapore.

Distribution of the book

A total of 3000 copies of the SAFTI Golden Jubilee Book will be produced and distributed to public libraries, tertiary institutions, MINDEF/SAF units and departments, Senior MINDEF, DSTA and DSO officers, SAFTI alumni, staff in SAFTI MI, GKS CSC Command and Staff Course 2016 graduates and SAFTI pioneers. The SAFTI Golden Jubilee Book will also be available for download on the MINDEF website.
