Reply to Media Queries on the tender award for the provision of group insurance

In response to media queries on MINDEF's interests on the tender award for the provision of group insurance, the following MINDEF reply was issued:

"The provision of group term insurance is an initiative under the Committee to Strengthen National Service (CSNS). Under this initiative, MINDEF and MHA will provide life and personal accident insurance for its national servicemen. It will cover incidents that occur during their full-time NS and the period of their operationally ready NS (ORNS) activities. MINDEF and MHA are in the process of finalising the award of the tender for the provision of group term insurance. We will announce the appointed insurer soon."
