"The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) holds its servicemen to high standards of discipline and integrity, and expects them to abide by the law. Those who commit offences will be charged in Court and dealt with in accordance with the law.For being charged and found guilty for an offence committed in 2011, Emlyn Thomas Thariyan's officer appointment was cancelled and he was discharged in 2014. Since then, he is no longer under the employment of the SAF."
