The Commander of the United States Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) General (GEN) Lori J. Robinson called on Chief of Air Force Major-General Hoo Cher Mou at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this afternoon.
GEN Robinson, who is in Singapore on an introductory visit from 27 to 30 September 2015, had earlier inspected a Guard of Honour at MINDEF. During her four-day programme, she will visit the Changi Command and Control Centre, Sembawang Air Base, as well as speak to students at the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College as part of the Distinguished Speakers' Programme.
GEN Robinson's visit underscores the excellent and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and the United States. The Republic of Singapore Air Force and the PACAF interact regularly through a wide range of activities including visits, professional exchanges and bilateral exercises. These interactions have enhanced the interoperability and professionalism between the two air forces and bolstered mutual understanding and friendship between their personnel.
