Minister for Defence Meets Counterparts at 14th Shangri-La Dialogue

Dr Ng meeting with Malaysian Minister of Defence Dato' Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein on the sidelines of the 14th Shangri-la Dialogue.
Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen met with Malaysian Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein today on the sidelines of the 14th Shangri-La Dialogue. Both Ministers reaffirmed the close and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and Malaysia, and their strong commitment to the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA). They also discussed the need to cooperate and step up efforts to deal with the threat posed by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
Dr Ng also held meetings with ministers and senior officials from Spain, Thailand, Timor-Leste, the United Kingdom and the United States, and hosted a breakfast for ministers from the FPDA countries this morning.

Dr Ng meeting with United Kingdom Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon on the sidelines of the 14th Shangri-La Dialogue.

Dr Ng meeting with United States Senator John McCain and other members of the Congressional Delegation on the sidelines of the 14th Shangri-La Dialogue.

Dr Ng hosting a breakfast for the Ministers of the Five Power Defence Arrangements, in conjunction with the 14th Shangri-La Dialogue.
