Chief of Staff of Indonesian Navy, Admiral (ADM) Ade Supandi, calling on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).
The Chief of Staff of the Indonesia Navy (TNI-AL), Admiral (ADM) Ade Supandi, called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this morning. ADM Supandi, who is in Singapore for his introductory visit from 17 to 21 May 2015, also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Chee Meng and Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Lai Chung Han, and inspected a Guard of Honour at MINDEF earlier today. During his visit, ADM Supandi will also attend the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) 2015, where two TNI-AL warships are on display.
ADM Supandi's visit underscores the strong and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and Indonesia. The Republic of Singapore Navy and the TNI-AL interact regularly through bilateral exercises, professional exchanges and cross-attendance of courses. These interactions have enhanced the interoperability, professionalism and friendship between the officers and men of the two navies.
