Fact Sheet: Defence Technology Medal and Award Recipients

The Ministry of Defence will bestow the Defence Technology Medal for the first time in 2015. The Defence Technology Medal is the highest honour bestowed on distinguished members of the Defence Technology Community for their lifetime achievements in shaping Singapore's defence technology. The awards will be presented in three categories.
(1) The Defence Technology Medal (Pinnacle Award) is the highest form of award. It is awarded for vision in steering and transforming Singapore's defence science and engineering.
(a) Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam
(2) The Defence Technology Medal (Distinguished Leadership) is awarded to officials who made outstanding contributions in the development and transformation of Singapore's defence science and engineering.
(a) Mr Lim Siong Guan
(b) Mr Peter Ho Hak Ean
(c) Mr Teo Ming Kian
(d) Mr Philip Yeo Liat Kok
(3) The Defence Technology Medal (Outstanding Service) is awarded to defence scientists and engineers who dedicated a substantial part of their career in building up Singapore's defence science and engineering with exceptional service.
