In response to media queries on Darren Choy’s Rescheduling of Enlistment into Full-time NS, the following reply was issued:
Darren Choy had requested his enlistment into full-time National Service to be rescheduled so that he would be able to represent Singapore in the 470 World Championships in October 2015. The request is supported by MCCY and satisfies existing MINDEF guidelines. MINDEF will reschedule Darren’s enlistment for a short period till after the 470 World Championships, to enable him to train and participate in the competition.
