Thai Chief of Defence Forces Reaffirms Close Defence Ties

The Royal Thai Armed Forces Chief of Defence Forces General (GEN) Worapong Sanganetra calling on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen.
The Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General (GEN) Worapong Sanganetra called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen this afternoon at the Ministry of Defence. GEN Worapong, who is in Singapore from 12 to 14 January 2015 for his introductory visit, also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Chee Meng earlier today after inspecting a Guard of Honour.
GEN Worapong's visit underscores the close and long-standing defence ties between Singapore and Thailand. Both armed forces interact regularly through exercises, high-level visits, courses and other professional exchanges. These interactions have bolstered the friendship and understanding between personnel of both armed forces.
