Four Republic of Singapore Navy Ships Conducting Search and Rescue Operations in the Search Area

The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) MV Swift Rescue reached the search area today, joining the Formidable-class frigate (RSS Supreme), Victory-class missile corvette (RSS Valour), and Endurance-class landing ship tank (RSS Persistence) to conduct Search and Rescue (SAR) operations in the area. The Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) team was also flown to RSS Persistence this afternoon. The Bedok-class mine countermeasure vessel (MCMV) RSS Kallang will reach the search area tomorrow.
To date, the Singapore Armed Forces has contributed two C-130 aircraft, two Super Puma helicopters, five navy ships and a 6-man AUV team.
