In response to media queries on Enhanced Security System at Clementi Camp, the following replies were issued:
"It is necessary to ensure that Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) camps and bases are secure and well-protected. The SAF constantly reviews security systems to ensure that they remain robust and effective. The latest security system employed in Clementi Camp involves the use of the Biometric Fingerprinting technology, which has been tested to meet operational requirements. This enhanced security system will complement the existing camp and base security procedures, and will be implemented progressively to the rest of the SAF camps and bases."
