Italian Air Force Chief of Staff Makes Introductory Visit to Singapore

The Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, Lieutenant General (LG) Pasquale Preziosa, called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence this morning. LG Preziosa also called on Chief of Air Force Major-General Hoo Cher Mou after inspecting a Guard of Honour.

As part of his introductory visit from 13 to 17 April 2015, LG Preziosa visited the Republic of Singapore Air Force's Sembawang Air Base and the Air Force Training Command. He will also visit 145 Squadron later this afternoon.

LG Preziosa's visit underscores the warm bilateral defence ties between Singapore and Italy. Both air forces interact regularly through exercises and professional exchanges. These interactions have bolstered the friendship and mutual understanding between the personnel of the two air forces.
