In response to media queries on plans to host a Russian military base in Singapore, which was reported in RIA Novosti’s article on 26 Feb 2014, MINDEF issued the following reply: "Report by RIA Novosti on 26 Feb 2014 about alleged negotiations with Singapore to host a Russian military base is untrue. The Ministry of Defence has filed a correction to the claim."
